Endless Aisle allows in-store customers to access a broader assortment than what is physically stocked in that location.
How it works
Staff or customers can access inventory from distribution centers, ecommerce or other stores and complete an order for home delivery or later pickup. It requires an integrated catalog, reliable availability and a simple order process.
Practical example
A size is unavailable in the visited store but exists elsewhere in the network. The associate orders it for the customer instead of losing the sale.
Why it matters
It reduces lost sales caused by local out-of-stocks and turns the store into an access point to the entire network inventory.
What to watch
If the process requires too many steps or delivery is unreliable, store staff will avoid offering it. Operational simplicity is part of the product.
